'23 Summer Three Pack
A fresh seasonal three pack featuring three Fruit Cru classics:
2023 Fruit Cru Feijoa:
A flavour unique to Aotearoa and the world's first Feijoa Pét Nat!
We originally planned on this being a blending tool but the result was so incredible it went straight into bottle. This was the star of the show at our recent appearance at the Bottletops Natural Wine Fair in Hobart as it drinks more like a wine than a cider.
Mineral driven and refreshing with a rounded puckering acidity and light sparkles.
Juicy feijoas from Gary & Georgina Campbell co-fermented with Braeburn, Gala & Crab Apples from Heretaunga.
750ml - 6.7% abv - wild ferment, no additives, bottled live.
2023 Fruit Cru Pét Nat
Big tropical vibes from the place you really are!
After a two year hiatus Fruit Cru Pét Nat is back for 2023. Staying true to our goal of producing flavours unique to Aoteraroa, we co-fermented kiwi fruits with a blend of table apples to produce this bright acid driven fizzer.
This label marked our first attempt at ancestral method wine making back in 2021. Nowadays we use this process on all our cuvées so the title Pét Nat is a little redundant but we wanted to make sure the collectors had a reference point for the journey of this wonderful drop. Always innovating and improving this one has been aged in bottle for seven months prior to release.
Tropical and stone fruits dominate the pallate, with a bright acidity providing vibrancy and an ultra clean finish.
750ml - 7.3% abv - wild ferment, no additives, bottled live.
2023 Fruit Cru Quinze
The first cuvée we ever produced and still a fan favourite. When we first started fermenting in 2021 we foraged some unusual looking quinces from a nearby reserve and added them to a stash of heritage apples we had collected in Te Horo. The quince turned out to be a Japanese Flowering Quince and the result was an enormous fruit driven Pét Nat bursting with complex floral aromas.
Two years later and we're releasing it for the third time. Heritage apples from Barbara at Te Horo Harvest co-fermented with Doyenne de Comice, Beurre Bosc, Pineapple Quince & Japanese Flowering Quince. Bright and juicy with stacks of energy and vitality.
750ml - 7.0% abv - wild ferment, no sulphur additions, bottled live.
